Vermont State Police
I
was called to investigate this and was shocked to find out the following. I still
hold most of the Vermont State Police on highest regard but what happened Friday
10/03/03 changed my opinion of one of them. When a car is towed away for no
reason from Interstate 89 Rest Area in Williston, you would believe that a
caretaker of that rest area is the one that would call for the vehicle to be
towed. However in this case we talked to the caretaker and he said the only time
they would have a vehicle towed is when it snows. The family that this happened
to were on their way home from having medical test done on their two year only
daughter. They are forced to make this trip often and can't afford a new vehicle
so they have to do what they can. I'm not talking about a couple that's on
welfare or will take hand outs, the father works over 50 hours a week to support
his family and the mother stays home to take care of her child. I want to give
Spillane's Towing credit for only charging this couple the towing charge and not
storage. The biggest question we have is why the police officer (Badge 236)
didn't call the phone number left in the windshield with an note about what
happened to the vehicle.

FREE
Please don't forget the fallen
men and women who have sacrifices their life to fight to keep our country
safe and free. Show support not only the men and women who are fighting
but also
their families. We hold the highest regards to all branches of the military,
for their efforts and the sacrifices they make everyday. Even if you don't believe

too.
